Assembly Instructions Horizontal Rack System (HRS)

(please note that these are old pictures from early racks and current racks have a routered edge and new Redwood)

#1 All Legs are the same. Lay any two legs on the ground with the blocking facing each other( A & B). One leg will be toward the front of the rack and one leg will be toward the back, pick the legs you like the best and orientate them so they are fronts or backs (Pic Above)

#2 All the shelves are the same. Each has a front edge (Labeled F) and each has a back edge (Labeled B).

#3 Set aside the top and bottom shelves for now they can be added last.

#4 Now take the shelves and place them in between the two legs, starting with the 2nd shelf first (Pic above). This is the second from the bottom. The bottom of the legs should have the shortest ends. Make sure the legs are pulled tight towards each other as each shelf is placed in to the two legs (Pic Below).Shelves should fit snug, if they feel to tight try another  space. The top and bottom shelf space sare two ideal locations  for tight shelves.

#5 Now take the next leg ( C or D) and place it with the blocking facing inward and starting from one end carefully insert each shelf support into the leg spaces(Pic Below). It can be a little tricky sometimes it requires a second set of hands. If it is really giving you trouble you can start to use the screws to help hold it in place. Once the leg is in place use the provide screws to secure that leg in place, this provides stability for the next steps.

#6 Repeat step #5 for the last leg (Pics Below) #7 once this is done you can now put the top and bottom shelves in place and screws them one at a time.  Once all the screws are in on leg C& D you can proceed to #8

#8 Now carefully pick up the first two legs (A & B) from the top of the rack, being careful to keep them squeezed together, and slowly tip the rack onto all four legs. Now carefully tip the rack all the way over so that the two legs that are screwed in ( C & D)are now on the ground, this will allow you to screw all the screws on the opposite side.

#9 Turn right side up and fill with wine bottles. All racks are built in the same system and everything is exactly the same. Please let me know if you are having difficulties.
