Attach one side shelf to legs (F&B). Repeat for both sides. Note on the side shelves that the tops have two angled ends, and the bottoms have one angled and one flat.(above) 

Pre Install X's pictures on the right. They open like a scissors, with the horizonital slats resting on the tops of the side shelves.

X should look like the picture below with the blocks lined up as seen in the adjacent picture. This is where then next shelf or bar top will rest.

The picture below is how the X will meet with the legs on the flush side.
